the free application review
Tell us where the folder stands.
The free application review is a written first reading of your Herzing IRB folder: which pockets would survive a reviewer's pass today, which would not and why, the likely review path, and the one pocket to start on first. It is free, it stands alone, and it is where every package begins. Email, phone and the stage of the project are the three things the form needs.
What to have ready
Nothing, strictly — most folders arrive empty, and the form does not take attachments. It helps to know the stage the project is at (before project approval, approved but not yet filed, or returned by the board) and which pocket is giving you trouble, if one is. If the reading needs documents — the plan, a consent draft, a returned letter from the board — we ask for them by email after the form arrives.
What comes back
A written reading, by email, to the address you give: the pockets that would hold, the pockets that would not and why, the review path the design points to, and the first thing to do. If the folder is ready to file as it is, the review says exactly that. If work is wanted, the reading is followed by one written quote per package that fits — fixed fee, no hourly billing — and the choice is yours.

Two things to know before you write
We are independent. This practice is not affiliated with Herzing University or its IRB, and nothing we send is the university's guidance; named forms and routes should always be verified against Herzing's current IRB handbook or portal. The project stays yours. We handle the IRB process end to end — the determination, every document, the submission, every reply — and we do not conduct the research or author the findings. The board's decision is its own.

Where is your folder today?
Full pockets, empty pockets, the letter you are waiting on. We come back with the first reading, free, and the pocket to start today.
Not ready to write yet?
Run the folder pass on the homepage first — the same completeness check a coordinator runs, by you, in a minute. If every pocket holds and the category claim is honest, it will tell you to file it yourself. If it does not, you will already know which pocket to name in the note above. The FAQ page answers the fifteen questions that arrive with most folders, short first.
